I know many people have this as I do (I took the extra from my parents’ place). Although it’s easy and affordable to get the refillable pack so that you can throw that piece without all the hair and dust on it, I decided there’s a way to do it without incurring waste.
Dry sweep or wet mop, it’s up to you. Except for wet mop, it’s abit manual to have to squeeze out the extra water.
I can't stand those people shoving opinions down your throat, hope no-one takes this as such.
I feel like one issue with trying to reduce is that which you receive. Don't get me wrong, I am keeping every letter I have received, made sure I've read the books (maybeh) and love the hoola-baloo, but I don't need it. I want to reduce my impact, and that includes what others do for me sadly.
Hopefully others feel the same as me and I'm not just a giant douche!
Tomatoes in winter? In Adelaide? Yep that’s right!
Late season varieties such as this “burnley bounty” are tolerant of cold weather and can extend your tomato season by months. Plant them in autumn and they’ll set fruit quickly and begin ripening late winter. Also being an indeterminate variety means it’s not restricted by height or time so it will continue to produce right up until summer
Na mijn laatste post even iets heel anders.
🙏🙏🙏🙏 #amazon#savetheamazonia#klimaatverandering#climatechange#deaarde#liefde#mindervlees#gekkewereld#vega#vegan#liefzijnvoorelkaar#liefzijnvoordeaarde#duurzaamheid#sustainable

Thousands of fires are burning in Brazil, many of them in the world’s biggest rainforest, which is sending clouds of smoke across the region and pumping alarming quantities of carbon into the world’s atmosphere.
The amazon produces 20% of our earths oxygen and we are slowly loosing it. We need to change . •

📣 Calling all soda/soft drink/cordial/squash/juice lovers 📣
Not only does soda and juice usually come in plastic bottles, it takes resources to grow the sugar cane/fruit, process the product and transport it to a store near you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It also contributes NO or little nutritional value to your diet. Yup, it’s just empty calories. It’s also a luxury expense that is totally unnecessary. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For those among us that don’t like drinking plain water, I hear you. I was a sparkling water addict for the longest time and shudder to think about how many plastic bottles I wasted from this. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Try the following:
- Invest in a soda stream if you love bubbles (I use mine daily 😍).
- Flavour water naturally with cucumber, lemon, lime, orange slices, mint leaves and/or berries.
- Buy flavoured stevia drops to flavour water. A little bottle goes a long way.
- Keep a bottle or jug in the fridge. Cold water goes down much more easily that room temperature tap water. - Invest in a good quality bottle to ensure you have water when you’re travelling or out and about to avoid settling for a soda if you get thirsty. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These tips aren’t just good for the planet, but also your body and your bank account! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do you struggle to drink water daily? What’s your favourite plastic-free alternative to bottled drinks?? 👇👇👇

been buying all my milk in reusable glass bottles the past few months. super fresh & super #sustainable 🍃🍃 glass bottles are way better than plastic or paper because it doesn’t transfer any foreign scent and taste into the milk 🥛 glass bottles are also the most eco friendly because they’re one of the most recyclable materials ♻️ every time i return my used bottles, they also offer a discount on the next order 💯 I’m so glad it’s starting to get easier to live plastic free in the PH 💫
A few of my rules to live by. One thought about rules is that, for me, if I have a rule like ‘I’m not eating dairy again’, rather than ‘I’m trying to cut down on dairy’ then it’s harder for me to keep trying when I do eat dairy. If I loosen the wording of my ‘rules’ it helps me to keep going on this journey and not feel like I have failed when I inevitably take a step back along the way.
I’ve made the rule for myself that I’ll fly much less (previously I flew about once a year). But instead of saying to myself ‘I’m not flying anymore’, I say ‘I’m not taking any flights this year’. It helps me to do it that way. Maybe it will help you too.
Take action. We’re in this together.💛

There's a fire because the Amazon Rainforest is being destroyed to grow Soya. This soya is then fed to animals. Please think about whether you want to support this the next time you buy meat. Yes and also "organic meat" belongs to it. .
And also the cows in the dairy industry or the chickens for eggs have to be fed with soya.
Because if we want to help the earth, then we have to change our habits trastically.
Only with a vegan diet can you save the Earth's lungs. So please choose the right way.

It is so Important to keep your fridge organised, not because it looks pretty or 'instagram worthy'. The more organised your fridge is the less food waste you are likely to create, while the super markets have their part to play in the enormous amount of food waste we create we still throw out a HUGE amount of food in our very own homes. We love this organised fridge @naturallycadie recently posted, if you aren't following her already be sure to go give her a follow!

In Italy is very common to line dry clothes outside so I never used a dryer in my all life. When I moved to Australia I was please to find that line dry here is also quite normal. We have big backyards and lots of sunny days.
I had 40 plastic clothespins originally that after two years of use became 21 ( some mysteriously disappeared and some break) and in a span of two weeks 15 literally crumbled into microscopic pieces in my hands after a couple of fierce sunny days.
I had then to look for an alternative : metal or wood. So I turned to Gumtree, a very popular second hand website in Australia to buy and sell, and found this old lady that for 10$ was selling old but very well kept dolly pegs three blocks away from where I live. I boiled them in hot water and sun dried and now I have 46 perfectly working and beautiful wooden pegs.
Not only I avoided packaging entirely but also saved money, reused something that was already on the market (and for some reason got replaced by the cheap plastic version) but now I will also sleep well knowing that if I’ll ever lose one or break it will eventually return to the earth were it belongs.
